Meet Sharanya R, our Senior Audiologist at Resonance Speech and Hearing Clinic with over a decade of experience in diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology. With her extensive background and dedication to patient care, Sharanya is a cornerstone of our clinical team, known for her expertise and compassionate approach.

Sharanya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing from JSS Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore, and a Master’s degree in Audiology from the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH). She is a licensed professional, certified by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), ensuring she meets the highest standards of practice in her field.

Her areas of expertise are vast and varied, including diagnostic audiology, hearing aid fitting and verification, and pediatric audiology. Sharanya is also a specialist in cochlear implants (CI) and post-CI rehabilitation through Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT). Her skill set extends to vestibular assessment, making her a versatile and highly skilled audiologist.

Sharanya’s professional journey includes over ten years at Bangalore Baptist Hospital, where she was not only the clinical Audiologist involved in in diagnostics and rehabilitation via hearing aid dispensing, she was additionally the audiologist in charge of the CI unit. There, she specialized in assessing candidacy for cochlear implants, providing pre-implantation counseling, overseeing intra-operative measures, mapping, and post-implantation therapy. Her experience in vestibular assessment further enhances her ability to provide comprehensive audiological care.

As a member of the Indian Speech and Hearing Association (ISHA), Sharanya remains actively engaged with the latest advancements in audiology. Her commitment to continuous learning and professional development ensures that she stays at the forefront of her field, providing the best care possible to her patients.

Beyond her professional life, Sharanya enjoys reading and baking. These hobbies not only provide her with a well-rounded perspective but also contribute to her warm and approachable nature, making her a beloved member of the Resonance team.
